Tara is the only candidate for Senate District 4 who is endorsed by the Idaho Fraternal Order of Police. Not only does Tara Back the Blue but she is Backed by the Blue.

 As a former prosecutor, public safety is at the top of Tara’s priority list. Stopping the flow of drugs into our community, and providing the resources to our law enforcement community to secure our borders from illegal immigration is critically important to the future of the state and the nation. As someone who has prosecuted drug traffickers, gang members and has enforced our immigration laws,Tara is focused on making sure that our communities and our citizens are protected from these outside threats. 

As a young female, Tara understands well the desire for personal safety having had to ensure her own. As a proud owner of firearms and an attorney, Tara understands our state and federal constitutions and believes in protecting and preserving the rights of our responsible Idahoans to keep and bear arms.

As an avid outdoors woman, Tara is invested in preserving public lands for all Idahoans to use instead of selling them to out of state interests or allowing the federal government to overreach and mismanage them. The fact is that Idahoans know better how to take care of land, prevent fires and create a space that everyone can enjoy. Tara will work hard to make sure that our public lands remain public.

Tara is blessed to be surrounded by a large extended family and is reminded of this blessing frequently It informs her stance on right to life issues.

Tara believes in the sanctity of life at all stages from birth to end of life and specifically that:

1-we have a duty to protect the unborn;

2-we have a duty to protect the vulnerable including at the end of their life;

3-unless the life of the mother is at stake, or in cases of rape and incest, there should be no other exceptions to the criminalization of abortion.

Tara will fight for these stances and issues if elected.
